Our range of 12v flat screen LCD TV/DVD combi's have been carefully chosen from specialist manufacturers like Avtex with many years experience in the Caravan market. We have 12 volt TV/DVD's and 12v televisions that can be powered from both 12v DC and 230v AC mains. 12v TV's specifically manufactured for caravans have many differences compared to domestic TV's with off board 12v power supplies including those from major reputable brands.
The first and one of the most important factors is that LCD screens are made in different qualities. The highest grade ones have a zero pixel tolerance ensuring that you have both no dead and no bright pixels (permanently stuck on one colour). The best screens also have wider viewing angles. This is particularly important because most of us sit either side of our caravans both watching the TV at an angle. Whilst many people Caravan throughout the year the majority of us predominately use our Caravans in the summer months when we have high levels of ambient light making the power of the back light of your 12v TV significant. 12 volt televisions with low power ones tend to need the blinds closing to watch them on a summers evening.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
All our 12 volt TV's are supplied with 12v leads / regulated power supplies that terminate in a cigar plug. For safety the cigar plug usually has a glass fuse to protect the TV - TV/DVD. Most TV's designed and manufactured for use in a Caravan or Motorhome like the Avtex range have a 12 volt regulated power supply housed within the cigar plug moulding. If you cut the cigar plug off and change to a different type of plug you are invalidating your warranty and putting your new 12v TV at risk.
